Oliver?s famous request lands him in big trouble with the workhouse Matron and the Beadle setting him off on his famous adventure. First sold to a local undertaker he runs away and is then picked up by the Artful Dodger who invites Oliver to join Fagin?s Gang, who set out to ?Pick A Pocket or two? and take Oliver along, but he is arrested and taken before the magistrates. When he finds Oliver was an innocent bystander, Mr. Brownlow, the victim of the gang, takes Oliver in and cares for him as his own. Fagin?s Thief, Bill Sykes is afraid Oliver will give away their set-up and sends his girlfriend , Nancy to get Oliver back. Eventually Oliver is returned to Mr. Brownlow, who by a million to one chance happens to be his Grandfather. Fagin then sets out to rebuild his gang with the Dodger?.. Award-winning actor and comedian Omid Djalili will star as Fagin from the 20th July 2009, along with Jodie Prenger as Nancy.
