NFL Super Bowl XLIV

Its American football, and the Super Bowl is the championship game of the NFL, played on Super Bowl Sunday and is one of the most-watched American television broadcasts. The game and its associated festivities are considered to be a de facto American national holiday. The Super Bowl uses Roman numerals to identify each game, Super Bowl XLIV will be played in 2010 to determine the champion of the 2009 regular season.Currently the Pittsburgh Steelers have won the Super Bowl more times than any other team at six, with a 6-1 record overall. The Dallas Cowboys have appeared in eight Super Bowls, more than any other team with a 5-3 record. The two teams have met a record three times in the Super Bowl, with the Steelers leading with a 2-1 record. Super Bowl XLIV will be the 44th annual edition of the Super Bowl and the 40th annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League. The game will be played at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The stadium will be known as "LandShark Stadium" until January 2010, at which time the name reverts back to Dolphin Stadium, barring a new naming rights deal. This marks the tenth time a Super Bowl will have played in the Miami metro area.
