JLS (Jack the Lad Swing) entered the 5th series of the UK's most popular talent show, The X Factor and were crowned runners-up. Featuring vocalists Aston, JB, Marvin and Orits, the boys have surpassed the success of all their X-Factor boy-band predecessors by not only finishing in the last two acts but already having had a number one single. Following their success on the show, the boys signed to Epic Records their debut single "Beat Again" was added to the coveted A-list of BBC Radio 1's playlist on 24 June 2009; prior to its release in the UK on 13 July 2009. The single went to number-one in the UK Singles Chart on 19 July 2009, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week of release. Now with millions of fans across the country a debut album is highly anticipated and expected to be released later this year.
